Alcoholism affects more individuals/families in Hungary than other addictions. Rehabilitation is not a governmental responsibility. NGOs cannot be effective without joining forces. Intensive cooperation is a requirement for well-aimed rehabilitation and results in an increased number of addiction-free households. The project aims to rationalize the distribution of responsibilities, make addiction relief more widely available, exchange best practices and address social and segmental problems more specifically. At present such a network is unique in Hungary. The results have a multiplicator effect, the project serves as a model for other civil circles. The organizers expect the strengthening and expanding of the organization at national/international/European level. Cooperation would intensify and become more sustainable. In the project the organization worked with addicts, their relations and specialized NGOs and institutions addressing health in general. Cooperation agreements are to be concluded with similar specialized local/international NGOs.
