After the shutdown of the big local industry in Csepel (21st district of Budapest) the number of the socially disadvantaged people was growing strongly. The aim of this project was to develop early educational abilities/skills of socially disadvantaged (mainly Roma) expectant/young mothers, by easing their psychological burdens, and improving their earlier educational skills. The target group was the expectant/young mothers attending the antenatal clinic and hospitalized in Hospital of Southern Pest. In this program they were regularly visited by a social worker experienced in childbirth and early antenatal education and regular baby-mommy clubs were intended to be organized for them as well.
