Roma and non-Roma children living in children’s homes and juvenile correctional institutes face exclusion during their lives every day. The project aimed at dissolving prejudices between Roma and non-Roma children and evolving cooperation and mutual understanding among them through the tools of art therapy and joint work. In the art therapy groups the children are processing their pcychological damages and consequently their traumas will be dissolved and their consciousness will grow. Most important project activities were teamwork with the children, filming, post-production, screening the feature films - in the institutions and in a public cinema. Each workgroup was organized once a week in the 3 institutions involved. In all teamwork all decisions were made by all participants, and the films created were based on true stories of the children. The project also had effects on teachers, relatives and professionals working in the field. The organizers will also to transfer the know-how and methods toother professionals and disseminate it through them. They would like to show the films at the 6th Kid’s Eye Filmfestival in 2017.
