The aim of the project was to spread the method of quick saliva test for HIV, HCV, and thus improve the at-risk population’s access to screening and counselling. The foundation provided training on the method to NGOs focusing on intravenous users and sex workers in Budapest, Pécs, Szeged, Miskolc. They provided the equipment and implemented the screening and counselling in the field together with the NGOs, and created the training material for the method (with peers and the partner NGOs). 500 HCV, 500 HIV saliva tesst and questionnaire enabled them to make a snapshot survey on HIV/HCV prevalence and risk behaviour in the communities reached by the NGOs. It will be used to press decision makers to implement adequate policies. Law Reporter Foundation produced 2 short movies about the project and the training (as part of the curriculum). The documentary about the project supporst the advocacy and awareness raising activities (media campaign press conference).
