The project addressed sustainability obstacles of the catering and event industry based on the assumption that, although its openness is increasing, greening is largely obstructed by lack of information both in case of potential measures or legal restrictions. For this, the project has covered the most important topics of sustainable catering (e.g., waste prevention, energy efficiency, hygiene) at 7 expert forums, has created an online knowledge base and has conducted research on biodegradable packaging materials connected to an awareness raising campaign. Particular attention was given to the information of settlement notaries: in addition to the initiation of personal meetings, an informational poster, with an integrated QR-code pointing at the information page, was sent to 996 of them with the request to place these in their offices.
