The project aimed to equalize differences between Roma and non-Roma youth through learning about Roma ethnography, customs and traditions. The objective was to give inspiration and methodological help to pedagogy processes.
In order to achieve these aims, there were 6 methodological workshops for pedagogies and civils. Participants got know Roma history, difficulties according to social integration through situation games, and also learnt about Roma sagas. These pedagogies and civils were mentored during the whole project.
Children and youth of the involved institutions (schools) and civil organizations participated in a series of (art) workshops in which they elaborated Roma sagas, prepared their costumes and show supplies. During the project each group of collaborating organizations realized a performance which they played in the closing event of the project. The four collaborators worked with different age groups from 10 years old children up to 17 years old youngsters.
With the help of the project the ethnographic knowledge of participants grew, their self-expression, social and emotional competencies were improved. Common creation in integrated working groups made the participants became more open-minded and they learned such experiences which contribute to living peacefully in a multicultural society.
