The project aimed at counterbalancing the ghettoization in Diósgyőr neighborhoods of Miskolc city, through the promotion and encouragement of community and community work – primarily for around 9,000 inhabitants of the Árpád and Kuruc streets of the Diósgyőr district.

As part of the complex activities the improvement of living conditions were of primal importance: the cost-reduction and “greening” of households were supported by the means of six group consultations, while awareness raising regarding public security were carried out, in cooperation with the local civic guard association, by a community forum, organizing community patrolling, and an information leaflet summarizing the most important information, produced and delivered to the target areas’ households in 1500 copies. Under the umbrella of the "Community Spaces" sub-program, four park day care activities were organized, while local community patriotism was promoted through a series of six hiking trips that helped locals to get acquainted with local values (followed by the publication of a tour guide with 3 of these walks). For the promotion of healthy lifestyles four "Move Diósgyőr!" sports days and two cycling sports days were held. Finally, special attention was paid to civilized dog breeding, that was promoted in the framework of two "Dog Day" festivals and a leaflet published in 500 copies and distributed among local dog keepers.

As an ultimate result leisure and community development programs have provided meaningful activities and breakthrough opportunities that have made the target group's communities more connected and began to pay attention both to each other and to their surroundings.
