In the area of gender equality in Hungary negative trends prevail, the lack of gender awareness is universal. The Nora-network's member NGOs are selected through application. They receive education and mentoring and will create advisory-points providing professional reintegration and anti-discrimination consultancy in 10 cities, for about 5000 mothers returning to work. Education and service activities will be carried out towards employers, professionals and authorities. They work with the Equal Treatment Authority to prepare case-based reports on discrimination. Sustainability of the network is ensured by exchange of experiences with Norwegian NGOs. The Northern Women's University is involved in the transfer of knowledge, in the popularization of gender equality. Through the collaboration, the network will be connected to international networks, which will ensure that the quality of the professional work, the cooperation mechanisms and techniques will develop on the long run.
Gender-conscious consultants intensify the spread of flexible employment practices as multipliers. The service of the Foundation is available in the countryside forming a transmissible, standardized knowledge-base, expanded with the integration of intersectionality and the knowledge of this network. With the help of the Norwegian partner the economic violence is a core issue, that opens further opportunities for research and service. All these reinforce the project and the social impact of the application. The developed communities become committed to gender equality, integrating gender-sensitive approach in their activities, some of them will promote women’s rights.
